The Wheelhouse Veterinary Centre is described in client accounts as handling routine and ongoing care for both dogs and cats, with specific mentions of a “Wheelhouse plan,” senior screening, and access to physio alongside vet care. It’s also listed as a veterinary nurse training facility. Reviews are mostly positive about the welcome and the way appointments are run (including pets being kept relaxed and explanations given), but a minority describe sharp declines in customer service—particularly around reception interactions and “patronizing” behaviour from staff.

Wonderful vets, we use the wheelhouse plan for our dogs and this has also been excellent.

We always receive a very warm welcome here, and the vets provide really high quality care. Our vet on this occasion was Teague, and he has a really friendly manner with our dog so that he was relaxed throughout the appointment, and offered excellent unbiased advice and treatment. Really pleased to recommend.

My dog has had a number of issues and injuries this year plus a couple of the usual ailments . Each time we have been treated with warmth , professional expertise and prompt appointments. Highly recommend The Wheelhouse Vets and physio.

We have been coming to Wheelhouse over 3 years and always had an excellent service until today. The receptionist with the purple hair was extremely rude and aggressive. She asked me a question which I didn’t understand from which she then got very irritated and became highly unpleasant with me, after that everything went downhill. I was trying to soften the conversation by making jokes about my cats but all I got back was a cold face. It’s a shame that the costumer service was so hectic and unfriendly. I came out of the clinic feeling extremely stressed closer to tears really. This is wrong and has to be dealt with. We are coming back tmrw with the cat and only hope that if the lady with a purple hair is still at the reception, she greets us with a smile and not a stroppy attitude.

It really is so sad when customer service goes downhill. It is hugely unfortunate that the staff, reception team and junior vet at the Amersham Branch don't live and breathe the Wheelhouse brand and ethos. My recent experience was awful, rude and very patronizing staff and no sense of care for the animals they are treating. I have been a life long loyal customer of the Wheelhouse for over 30 years, but I will not be stepping in to the Amersham branch again. I highly recommend Chesham and Chalfont St Giles as alternatives. They are excellent, warm, welcoming, kind and caring.

Very happy with my Senior Screening for my boy Rolo. Well looked after and everything explained to me. They've always looked after my cats and the staff at all the surgeries have always been friendly and helpful.
