Aylesbury Vets Ltd describes itself as an independent, family-run veterinary clinic (not part of a corporate group, per its website and multiple reviews). Based on the website and recent reviews, it appears set up for general practice care plus in-house investigations and surgery—owners mention scans, jabs and two operations, and also describe being kept informed at every stage while a problem was investigated. Several reviewers also highlight a clear, low-pressure approach to costs (costs explained upfront, no pressure to proceed) and support with insurance paperwork. One recent review alleges a serious handling incident involving a small pet during a visit in 2022; most other recent reviews describe positive experiences.

It’s great to find an independent vet within Aylesbury and have the personal, individual service. I felt like my pet was being cared for and was recommended what was required. Brilliant, thank you.

Around 2022 I took 1 of my 2 gerbils here, one of your nepo unqualified nurses dropped her from about 5 feet, didn’t have the audacity to even retrieve my now further injured pet but instead stood there and gasped instead of doing anything, I was too young at the time to comprehend what had happened and if I knew her name I’d write it here, but I do know her by face and I hope to every being on the planet you fired this poor excuse of a vet. Pray I don’t never see you again

Absolutely fantastic practice! My boy Oscar has been having treatment since September. Our vet is fantastic: knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in Oscar's wellbeing. I also really appreciated how we were kept informed at every stage of Oscar's treatment when the team were initially investigating the problem. To be fair the entire team are so welcoming and kind-they all always take the time to ask how Oscar is doing, which really means a lot. The pricing is very reasonable too, all costs are explained upfront and absolutely no pressure is applied to proceed. So far, so good — Oscar is doing really well, and I'm feeling very grateful for the care he's received. Best vets I’ve ever experienced.

I also really appreciated how we were kept informed at every stage of Oscar’s most recent treatment—it gave me so much peace of mind. The pricing is very reasonable too. My dachshund was sick about 6 weeks ago and Beth and her team went above and beyond to help her. My pup has recovered well and is still really excited to go into the vets even after scans, jabs and two operations. She loves seeing the nurses and stares at Beth's door while we are waiting! The receptionists are lovely and were able to help us fill out the insurance paperwork so we claim back the cost of the operation. The communication from everyone in the practice is amazing and its clear how much they all care about pets. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone in the area.

My 15 year old handsome cat, Cosy, was confused and blind, not eating and I didn't want him to suffer. So I took him to Aylesbury Vets who my daughter recommended. The whole team were so kind and understanding. Beth was very gentle and straightforward. Explaining what was wrong and that he wouldn’t get better. Her nurse was so kind and I was with Cosy as he was put to sleep. Beth even gave me a towel to wrap him in and he is now at peace in his favourite spot in the garden. I’d like to thank the whole team including the receptionist who were understanding and didn’t mind my blubbing! When another cat finds me, I won’t go anywhere else. A family run practise, not part of a big organisation and sensibly priced. Thankyou all.
