#2 Vet in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Medivet Aston Clinton (Aston Clinton Veterinary Centre) is part of the Medivet group (not independent). The practice is set up for routine appointments and procedures, with access to Medivet’s around-the-clock emergency care at one of its 24-hour centres. Recent reviews describe a mix of experiences: several owners mention vets and reception staff explaining plans clearly, handling nervous pets gently, and doing follow-up check-ins; one long-term client says their experience worsened after the practice became Medivet, and another review describes a disjointed appointment with conflicting diagnoses from two vets.
Concrete examples owners mention include: reception staff talking a new client through “how it all works”, a vet giving an injection to a nervous puppy with minimal stress, check-in calls/messages for an ongoing allergy case, and an upcoming surgery being planned for a dog named Leo.

Been at Aston Clinton vets since they first opened and it was always lovely and friendly. You felt your pet was always well looked after. This changed when the vets became Medivet. We had a very negative experience with this vets, especially Yedra. We have since changed to Hampden vets who were so very much better.

Very caring and gentle towards my nervous puppy. Put her at ease and the injection didn’t even faze her. Vet was lovely and explained everything to us.

Eduard Is an absolutely outstanding vet. He cares so much about the pets and is so knowledgeable. He has being seeing our cat Petal for some time now and I would honestly never take her to any other vet. If you have a cat that needs to be seen, I cannot recommend Eduard enough. He is fantastic.

I am afraid I was left feeling very confused and unsatisfied by my most recent visit. I understand that vets are very busy places but I don't think we received a good service, particularly for the price that I had to pay, and I am left feeling very worried about my cat as I felt fobbed off. I saw two vets. The first vet was absolutely lovely and very kind to my cat. She identified what she believed was a bite on his leg - I had taken him in for a limp. She warned me that she may be called away as an emergency was coming in. She was called away about 2 minutes into the appointment. I totally understand that she was needed and that is not the issue. The issue is that she knew this was about to happen and I would have rather waited in the waiting room and received continuity of care from one vet than have a disjointed visit. A second vet then came in and gave a completely different diagnosis saying that my cat had a muscle strain in his hip. He said that he would give us anti-inflammatory medication. I challenged this as the first vet had mentioned a bite and I was fearful of an infection getting out of control. He then told me to come back in two days if things weren't improved. I appreciate that they want to be as conservative as possible in treatment but it felt like they were guessing. I most likely will be going back as I am very worried that something is seriously wrong and I didn't feel validated, particularly by the second vet. I also felt that he gave me too much information about the emergency that came in. You wouldn't expect this in a GP surgery or hospital and neither do I expect it in a vets.

When Medivet first took over the practice, we had concerns that the level of service would drop. There was noticeable changes but out beagle loves Oana and that was our priority that Mali was comfortable. When Oana went on maternity leave, our girl started seeing Eduard .our beagle has some allergy issues and he has done check ins with us to see how she is doing. This has really been appreciated as our beagle is a very important part of our family. It would be a lot more helpful if she has a collar like Dug from Up. Until this miraculously happens we rely on the kindness of vets to treat our pets with the love and respect we do as pawrents.
