I have used Hamden Vets for around 8 years for all of my horses, and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Their care and professionalism have always been excellent, but they have been especially incredible with my old boy. They helped diagnose issues with his front teeth and carried out the removal of all his front teeth over a few years with great care and skill (except now his tongue pokes out). What really stood out was the continued support afterwards — they didn’t just do the procedure and move on. They kept checking in and making sure he was recovering well and still doing okay, which meant a lot to me. they are always on time, friendly, and take the time to clearly explain everything so I understand exactly what’s going on and what my horse needs.

Despite being around horses many years and working in small animal vets, I’ve been lucky enough to never have needed a vet for any horse. Until Friday evening when my 8yo 17.2hh giant choked on the equivalent of hamster food. The vet that came out to him on the bank holiday night was so patient and good with him but unfortunately he rechoked again around midnight. We were told he needed to be scoped and that he needed to come to the clinic. The team were incredibly patient while we tried to find transport and both vets that worked with him explained everything so well and were super transparent regarding payment. Could not be more grateful to them both for taking such good care of him. You’ll be glad to hear he’s doing so much better enjoying his old man mash

So lucky to have the Team at Hampden Equine look after me & my horses for over 20 years now. The most professional, caring & supportive vets who I can trust implicitly whilst always feeling that decisions are made with the horse's best interests at heart. Couldn't recommend them more.
